This site is loose so its up to you all fine people who decide who makes it out alive from the wrath of the Iron Knight, a mind-controlling tyrant who has a strangling hold on life in Kerna. Kerna has survived long years in prosperity and truth, but that was before the Iron Knight invaded the minds of many and turned them against their kingdom and themselves. His power has engulfed him in the need for strength and to be better then everyone else around him. Very few have escaped his wide reaching hand, even Queen Morgyn Serent fell pray to his evil grasp and now rules Kerna under his control after murdering her husband, King Ren Serent. Prince Shaymon Serent and Princess Janlena Serent are still fighting for mercy in a kingdom of cruelty, but have been banished to the outskirts of the kingdom to be outlaws with Theresa River, the leader of the remaining outlaws after Morgyn's men cleared them out.
With the Iron Knight intercepting minds at every turn, who can you trust to keep a secret? Who will live through this time of evil and cruelty? In this roleplay, you decide where this story will lead, you decide who lives and who dies. The only question is: who will live to see the new dawn rise for Kerna?

kerna castle (4 sub-boards) The castle of Kerna has large battlements and a deep moat. The drawbridge is old and in need of repair, but the Iron Knight will do nothing about it. The chambers are beautiful except the dungeon that is. And the towers are the perfect place to just relax. Guards patrol the corridors that are dimly lit by torches. Moderator: Pandora
courtyard The courtyard is cobblestone and wide. It is almost always busy, but the curfew (from nightfall to sunrise) keeps everyone inside, from fear of the guards that patrol the square inside the castle walls. A fountain shoots out from the middle of the courtyard. Moderator: Pandora

stables Here are where the royals and nobles keep their horses. The stable-hands always are ready to tack up a horse for their betters. The sound of nickering, pawing hooves and piercing whinnies is heard from the stable as the horses complain from their wooden stalls. A foul glaze of horse waste settles over a few of the dirty stalls, that get cleaned quite quickly. The stables are close to the barracks in case so the knights can get their horses in a hurry. marketplace Here is where all the citizens of Kerna's village buy their supplies. It includes the tavern and the inn and all the different shops. The marketplace is usually crowded with citizens buying and chatting, but the streets clear out by nightfall when the curfew starts. The Iron Knight is so feared that not even the peasants want to visit the marketplace in fear of being killed. But a time will come when even the peasants no longer fear that evil corrupted. cathedral At Kerna's cathedral there are many different statues representing the gods and goddesses of the different species. There is no real set time or date for one to visit the statues and worship them. A fountain burbles up in the middle making the scene rather peaceful. This seems to be the only place untouched by the grasp of te Iron Knight. Moderator: Pandora

gallows Here, at the gallows, is where all the hangings take place. Also the executions take place here. The stand, big enough to hang four "criminals" at once, stands in the middle of the courtyard, tall and menacing. Some say that the reason that the kingdom has always had a loose curfew is because the ghosts of those hung haunt the gallows after their death. But how can you really be sure when you'll be killed if you even wander outside the doors of the castle in the curfew's hours? Moderator: Pandora

barracks Here is where there army is housed. The sound of sharpening swords and clanging shields echo in the air when you walk past. The knights and guards in the army are usually up late chattering but always seem to get sleep. So if your a guard on duty don't be surprised if you hear their laughs, just make sure to scold them if they get a little too loud. Moderator: Pandora

village The peasants live here in the village. Their houses are made of straw and some more wealthy citizens have rocks or bricks but the poor farmers, not poor enough to live in the slums, can only have easily flammable straw and thatch homes, which are usually set on fire by the Iron Knight's assassins. slums The poorer people of Kerna live here in the slums. The houses, well you can't even call them houses, they are more like overhangs in the cliff sides. The mud leaks down onto their beds when it rains and the floor is usually flooded, just like their hard old straw beds. They can barely afford to eat and with the rising taxes no one knows how they will survive. Moderator: Pandora

outskirts
legend's forest The forest is named for the legend of the outlaws that lives inside its lush shelter. The forest is rather dark at night, darker then most of the kingdom, so I wouldn't advise wondering at night unless you are an experienced tracker and traveler. The outlaws 'own' the forest and are very protective of who comes into the forest. They constantly patrol the borders for newcomers, but are welcoming to those who need their help. Moderator: Pandora
tera's river The river is so named because beside her raging current was where, in the stories of the elves, where their goddess, Merana found her daughter, whom was the first elf, named Tera. The river is still raging but has a sense of gentleness to it. Almost as though it has mercy for any of those to get caught in its current, but the waterfall has as much mercy as the Iron Knight, so beware. Moderator: Pandora

other kingdoms
merkia Merkia is the kingdom to the far east of Kerna. They know nothing of what is happening in their neighboring kingdom, but are surprised that the King, who was quite good friends with the King of Merkia, has stopped writing and the messengers have stopped coming in to the kingdom from Kerna. evandira Evandira is the kingdom from the north, where the Iron Knight was born. They have already suffered by his hand and wish to reach out and help Kerna, but don't know how to do so since they are scared of what the Iron Knight will do to them if they help so most just stay out of it.
